This is the most cost effect overnight trip.
After your safety briefing on day one paddle out of Marahau, head north and have a night at one of D.O.C's coastal campsite. Day two: paddle back to Marahau.

Departing Marahau after your rental briefing paddle north at your own pace, spend one night camping in a choice of Abel Tasman coastal campsites, or stay overnight on the houseboat in the Anchorage and paddle light, explore Islands, wildlife, rivers, lagoons and then enjoy the faster pace of a water taxi ride back to Marahau.

Three Day Marahau to Totaranui, two day kayak one day walk
Here's a three day trip with a bit of everything the Abel Tasman coast line can offer. Discover the full length of the Park with a combination of freedom kayaking and hiking.

Day One: After your kayak briefing paddle from Marahau to Anchorage and have a night of camping in Anchorage.

Day Two: freedom kayak further up the coast through the Tonga Island Marine Reserve to Onetahuti the point where your Kayaks will be picked up. You will camp for the night either at Onetahuti or Awaroa depending on the tidal crossing at Awaroa.

Day Three: hike north through rain forest and along golden beaches to Totaranui to meet the Water taxi which will bring you back to Marahau.

Price: $190.00 per person (camping based includes 2 camp pass and watertaxi transfers)

Once the safety briefing is complete you are free to explore the wonders of the Abel Tasman coast line at your own pace, camping for two nights in the park, and we just meet you back on the beach in Marahau at the end of day three.
