3 day enchanted tour

Quite simply a wonderful 3 day tour through the Abel Tasman - met all of our expectations and then some ! This was a trip with one of my 16 year old sons and we cannot stop talking about all we experienced ( we arrived back three hours ago ! Isaac our tour guide was an absolute star and made the trip and also made us feel so comfortable ! Our wonderful group of fellow Kayakers were a delight and even with our relative inexperience added to the adventure! Food stunning , organisation from start to finish first class. Even my silly pre tour questions answered by Paul and the team left me feeling comfortable, confident and looking forward to achieving a life ambition with Charlie ! Thanks so much for everything!

Best kayaking in Abel Tasman

We took the 3 day "Enchanted Coast" kayaking tour with the Sea Kayaking Company and it was awesome. Our guide Issac "Lombardo"London was great! He knew a ton of info about the area, and the history of the Maori people. Food was great - Issac is a great cook - and he definitely makes safety his number one priority - right after keeping us fed and entertained. It was an unforgetable experience and if you have the chance definitely book a trip with the Sea Kayaking Company! Thanks Issac and team and Happy 2016 - from team Amsterdam (Raoul and Sheila:)

Outstanding! Highlight of our two weeks in South Island

We took the three-day "Enchanted Coast" trip and it couldn't be more aptly named. Not only was this the highlight of our two weeks it will be a favourite lifetime memory.
Everything about the sea Kayak Company was first class. My initial inquiry was helpful, booking was easy on-line, check-in was efficient and the trip - WOW!!!!
Trip organisation:
The equipment is top of the line - on this tour, we used Paddling Perfection's SeaBear II Packhorse double kayaks in fibreglass (Note: you do not get these babies on the shorter tours!).
The tours are size limited to 4 boats (8 people) which make for an intimate feel to the experience. Group dynamics is always a risk: our group got on famously.
Last and most importantly, our tour leader/guide Kim (seven years guiding) was remarkable. In life, there are certain people that touch your soul in an indescribable way just because they are such great people. Kim is such a person. Personal, social, informative and trusting.
The trip:
The weather was remarkable - remember this trip will vary depending on the weather so go in with eyes wide open. Wet weather does mean a different experience but it need not be less enjoyable.
We were treated to spectacular scenery, great paddling, up-close encounters with sea lions, and felt totally absorbed into Abel Tasman National Park.
Camp sites were excellent - Mosquito Bay is exceptional.
Camp food was excellent and Kim took a little help from the group despite many offers.
Expect to do a fair bit of paddling over the three days which seems effortless when you are so absorbed. If you can get into Shag Harbour do, it's magical.
The return and demobilisation were efficient with shower facilities.
The ground staff followed up with all the group.
Overall a first class experience that goes to the soul and leaving you pondering about life itself.
Thank you so much Sea Kayak Company and thank you so much, Kim.
