Day One. Walk north (unguided) from Marahau to Anchorage (4hrs). Exploring some of the Abel Tasman’s lush NZ bush, almost certainly meeting a Piwakawaka (fantail) on the way, and hearing the distinctive call of the Tui. After a memorable day in our coastal forest, enjoy a hot shower, barbecue, and beer (or wine) aboard the comfy Aquapackers houseboat.

Day Two: Spend the morning enjoying Anchorage beach or exploring the Pitt Head track. Walk over (1 hour) and join our 12.30pm Birdsong and Beaches guided kayak adventure at Watering Cove. Time and tides permitting, visit Adele Island to experience the glorious cacophony of birdsong. Paddling home to Marahau with the sea breeze behind you enjoy, the picturesque golden sand beaches of the Astrolabe Roadstead.
