Totaranui to Marahau
Another of Maureen’s adventure the easy way ideas.
Our ‘Full Monty’ is exactly that, all the special paddling places and fun of a 3 day Abel Tasman kayaking adventure, but with that bit extra comfort, a bed, a roof, and a hot shower. Bliss!
Totaranui in the more tranquil north is where the kayaking begins. The day ending at gorgeous Awaroa where a hot shower and a yummy dinner prepared by your guide awaits you.
Next morning we paddle south, exploring (tides permitting) picturesque Shag Harbour, the seal colony at Tonga Island and the gorgeous 'heart of the park'. That evening enjoy a barbecue aboard your floating accommodation in historic Anchorage.
Our last days mission is kayaking Anchorage to Marahau. Cruise the golden sand beaches of the Astrolabe Roadstead, listen to the birdsong at Adele Island and with the sea breeze behind us sail (conditions permitting) home to Marahau
