Another successful day with the Sea Kayak Company

Another great time was had doing the one day Onetahuti to Anchorage paddle and walk. Only six in our party, all the same level of experience (little or none) which meant we all stayed together, and had a great laugh.Plenty of kayaking, wildlife, and a good 12km trek back to the water taxi. Well organised, transport, guide and a good lunch, which was much needed fuel for the trek back.
Ethan your were a star, I will remember how to get into a Kayak in future, and yes it was as good, if not better than the one we took 5 years ago with the company. And I am sure none of us will forget how to call a seal in the future.
Keep up the excellent work The Sea Kayak Company, we will be back next time we are in NZ.
We were a party of 6, 2 English, 2 German, 1 Swiss and 1 Korean, a very good mix, who all got on very well, even with language barriers.

Great way to explore Abel Tasman NP

Me and my wife used service of See Kayak Comany in March 2013. We decided to join "Tonga Island Marine Reserve - Onetahuti to Anchorage" trip. It lasted around 6 hours. Trip was excellent - we saw seals, one even swimming beneath our kayaks and traveled to some breathtaking places. Our guide, Lucas, was really great. He told us interesting stories about each place, explained how seals behave and introduced some facts about local traditions. In the end he came up with a great idea - we formed a sort of a boat from all kajaks, he brought up a sail and we were literally sailing for some time. At the end of the trip we were a little bit tired from paddling. If you don't want to get wet don't sit in front of a kayak. My wife did and she was sitting all day in a water what made her a bit uncomfortable. We enjoyed a lunch break at an isolated, beautiful beach. It was a great spot to have a swim too. The only disadvantages of the whole experience was that it's costly, we needed to rush a bit (long distance to cover) so there was no time just to sit and admire seals and finally we started at least 30 minutes late.

From organizational side everything was fine. I exchange dozens of emails with Maureen, who was patient and very informative. She provided me with some excellent tips, i.e. that I could leave my bags and camping equipment on a beach, go to start of my trek and collect my bag on the way back. I recommend this company a lot and unfortunately for our wallets it's worth joying a kajak trip in Abel Tasman Park.
